The Last Hope

"To love is nothing...
In the beginning there were nine of us.
We left when we were young, almost too young to
remember.
Almost.
In the beginning they were a group of eighteen. Nine Cêpan's and nine Grade, who left their home planet of Lorien when it fell under attack by the evil Mogadorian.
Aliens who scattered on Earth. Who look like ordinary teenagers living ordinary lives, but who have extraordinary, paranormal
skills. Aliens who might be sitting next to you now.
There where nine Grade when we started but, we have lost some of our brothers and sisters along the way.
The Mogadorian caught Number One in Malaysia, Number Two in England, and Number Three in Kenya. All of them were killed.
Number Four is next.
I am Number Nine.
I will be the last to die.
I am tracking down the surviving Garde.
Number Four is the first on my list.
If they get him, then there will be no hope for the rest of us.
We were put here to make sure that the Lorien's survived.
I will make sure that happens.
Because we are the Garde.
*Sorry I am leaving it off right there for right now, I will try and come back tomorrow and finish the chapter~

- "Ana, I need you to be brave. Please, be brave for me. For us. And never forget where you came from, but also, look forward to what you might find one day. Always look forward."
-On the road, somewhere-
I woke up to the soft pat, pat of rain on the windshield and the radio static. I sort of sat up and looked around groggily, "Mhmm." I blinked a couple of time and than rubbed my eyes. I hated to sleep in the car, I always wound up in weird positions and than everything would hurt. And, well, it really sucked. And this time was really no different, I had somehow manged to curl my whole body into the front seat with my head leaning against the window of the car. And when I untangled myself, it hurt. I yawned as I looked over at the Nathan, my friend, my Cêpan and my father. He glanced over at me with a slight grin on his face.
"What?" I grumbled, I am not the nicest person in the whole world when I wake up. I really hated to wake up, but than again, who really liked to get out of bed? I don't even sleep in a bed and I don't want to get out of if it.
"You look lovely." Nathan mummered before chuckling at some joke that only he knew.
